https://www.thedailybeast.com/trumps-already-gaming-out-a-2024-run-including-an-event-during-bidens-inauguration?ref=homeAccording to three people familiar with the conversations, the president, who refuses to acknowledge he lost the 2020 election as he clearly did, has not just talked to close advisers and confidants about a potential 2024 run to reclaim the White House but about the specifics of a campaign launch. The conversations have explored, among other things, how Trump could best time his announcement so as to keep the Republican Party behind him for the next four years. Two of these knowledgeable sources said the president has, in the past two weeks, even floated the idea of doing a 2024-related event during Bidens inauguration week, possibly on Inauguration Day, if his legal effort to steal the 2020 election ultimately fails.

Trumps scheming about a future White House run is both an implicit recognition that he views his own current legal efforts as longshots and a reflection of his inherent desire to maintain political power and public attention.
According to two sources with direct knowledge of the matter, the president has privately bragged that hed still remain in the spotlight, even if Biden is in the Oval Office, in part because the news media will keep regularly covering him sinceas Trump has assessedhe gets the news outlets ratings and those same outlets find Biden boring.

(89,248 posts)but he isn't going to tell anyone yet ?
Something like this is exactly what I have been thinking about. BUT doesn't he have to pay for a place to hold a rally and all the other things ? I'm guessing since he is no longer PResident he will not have certain access or easily be able to do certain things.
Things like having to pay up front for renting places would prevent him from doing it.

that will be over. so besides funding his lavish lifestyle, he will actually have to pay his expenses from the campaign slush fund.

(2,216 posts)That he can use these so called campaign events to make $$ and run payments for everything thru the campaign.. Its disgusting.

(46,094 posts)you refuse to acknowledge that you lost. Therefore you won. And since you won, you can't run for a third term in 2024.

(25,111 posts)I'm pretty sure they know that. shithole refuse to gracefully, well he never was graceful nor considerate.
Majority of Americans are tired of shithole and ready to move on to a more lifting attitude and hopeful that the next administration will tackle COVID-19 and the economy. Most Americans know we are in deep doo doo with COVID-19 and the economy.

(23,372 posts)I do not think that this has necessarily occurred in the final analysis. Trumpism must be exterminated politically. He is a not just pro-fascist, he is pro-coup.
