Ohio was along with Georgia and Iowa the 3 tossups....Georgia polling was correct but Iowa and Ohio 8% off. I can't believe Biden didn't do any better than Hillary here. Mainly because people had 4 years of his hate of everyone who didn't kiss his ass. Obama/Biden won Ohio twice.

It doesn't make sense that the same pollsters with the same methodology were on the money in some states and then so far off in other states. If there were "shy" Trump voters who don't like to admit to pollsters that they support him, it seems that that would be more likely in places like Massachusetts, where Trump is very disliked. But, somehow the pollsters measure his support accurately there, but they can't do it in Iowa?

If voting machines are hacked, it would be on a state by state basis and the only evidence would be that some states' results would differ from the polling. Also, I'd really like to see a breakdown of which zip codes had postal sorting machines removed from them, because there's no way that that was done randomly. That information should be available once Biden's people are in charge.

That wasn't smooth at all. Blatantly dismantling equipment and taking away mailboxes woke up a lot more people than just cancelling overtime. Dems became alarmed enough to swear hell or high water we were voting but even people who weren't sure got mad and said that's not right. It was dirty and underhanded and not sneaky enough, especially since it inconvenienced a lot of people in the middle of a pandemic. And another way to piss off even more vets and military.

This "dry run" will be perfected the next time around and be harder to counter. We must start right now working on election reform that will make vote casting and vote counting transparent and fraud proof.

And he thought his order to state GOP parties was very clear --- "I win. Whatever you need to do, toss ballots, rig machines, etc. I don't care how you do it. I'm too lazy to care about those trifling details. Just steamroll me to a second term. But when I win I will cover your asses and you will never be held accountable for criminal actions. Look what I did for Stone, Manafort, Flynn."

Of course this was conveyed using the same ambiguous language he used with Comey about letting Flynn get off.

Mob-style.

He's probably kicking himself now thinking he should have spelled it out more clearly to them, because it seems like they did not get the message, from his point of view. That's part of his anger. Are these morons too stupid to understand what I wanted them to do???

Mon Nov 30, 2020, 08:36 AM
Nov 2020

My guess like everyone else around him, they didn't want to get blamed for bad news, so they weren't honest with him. Who knows, maybe they made up internal polling numbers to keep him happy and to stay on his good side.

When he didn't win, he was completely unprepared for it. So he did the Trump thing and claimed he was a victim.

There is a documentary about Mit Romney's 2012 presidential campaign. As the returns were coming in showing that Obama was going to win, they were all shocked. So shocked that they didn't have a concession speech written. But instead of immediately thinking the election had been rigged, Romney and team conceded and wrote a concession speech. It's an interesting moment. And I think how far we've fallen in the 8 years since.
