COLUMBUS (WCMH) — An Ohio-based political organization is calling on President Donald Trump to impose limited martial law and conduct a new presidential election, a move that Ohio’s Republican attorney general called “utterly irresponsible.”

The We the People Convention, based in Akron, took out a full-page ad in the Washington Times on Tuesday, asking Trump to “invoke limited martial law in order to allow the U.S. military to oversee a new and fair federal election,” according to a news release.

One thing might be that younger more progressive people are leaving this hellhole for greener pastures. What’s left are the ignorant, white wing, hateful, narrow minded, teabagger assholes. God I hate this state. Watching the news now about the morons trying to impeach Dewine. More morons trying to strip his powers to govern during the pandemic-and that includes Democrats joining in on that idiocy under the guise of being fair to businesses. And the icing on the cake the effers have been jonesing to do-implement the stand your ground law. I’m gonna have to do a little research-I thought voters okayed the implementation of a bipartisan panel to redraw districts to get rid of the ridiculous gerrymandering that allows these jerks to be in perpetual power. I can’t take much more of this.

5. What is a "Federal Election"?

Elections are for state and federal offices, but all elections are run by the States, not the Federal government. Trump has no power, at all, in the Constitution, to re-do an election.

There were some people on our side, in 2016 who were asking if the election could be invalidated, and the answer then was NO, there is no mechanism for it, other than throwing out the entire Constitution. Is that what this stupid Ohio group is asking? Because that is dictatorship.

The difference is that we felt and said that there were problems but we (as a party) did not throw the country into chaos. We moved forward and resisted in the way that we could.

I doubt very seriously that military judges would be on Trump's side in any election dispute. The cases would just get tossed out faster and with greater precision.
