1. Cool, I'll step ahead of these anti-science types. They can choke to death alone in a hospital.

3. Couldn't we have a new type of alternative to a medical facility for them

So we can divert the cases away from the doctors and nurses that actually save lives? Can’t there be some kind of a savanna grassland with out houses and tents where they can just let nature take its course? Wild animals would be a bonus.

A quick check in the Time Machine for anybody who advocated against taking vaccines prior to being checked into the hospital would do it and if you were one of these boneheads, exit stage right.

4. They used to send tuberculosis patients to snaitariums so they wouldn't spread the disease

Could we do that with people who carry and spread Covid-19 and refuse to be vaccinated?

Problem is that it would take an entire state, maybe Kansas or Arkansas. I wouldn't want the sane residents of those states to lose their home just to segregate super spreaders.

5. Politics aside, there are going to be some interesting discussions about anti-vax folks

All of us that plan to get the vaccine when it is safe to do so and our turn comes up, will eventually be protected. As long as Covid is circulating and you don't get the vaccine, it is vicious enough that sooner or later it will probably find those not protected. (Also continues to give it running room to continue to evolve into even more virulent strains which folks keep forgetting about). But if you are an health insurance company, given the long term, high cost hospitalization associated with the disease, are you going to really cover people that could have been protected by a vaccine but just said no? Similarly, you lose your life to it, your life insurance company want to be paying out early? Of course there are the larger societal issues as well but I think it will be interesting over the next six months to a year how the discussion goes. As I worked for an employer where you refusing to get a flu shot unless it was medically contra-indicated was an immediate firing offense, I can see some hard discussions coming around the Covid vaccine.
