Right now the MSM is giving him the permission to use the power of pardons - even to the point of him pardoning himself.

I don't know how he's going to screw this up - but I have faith in him that he will.

I don't know the full story, but it looks like DOJ is looking a pardon, or two, that are in the works, but are hinky. I believe Barr's trip to the White House was to put them notice of the investigation.
