Otherwise, Dan and all of the other pundits would be at home with nothing to do.

by now, sheesh. So what, if he isn't a devoted Obama fan, is that really a big deal? Burn him at the stake. (sarcasm)

However, not all opinions are factual and his certainly isn't regarding this matter despite the uncritical acceptance of most right-wing BS memes. If people aren't able to see that we have a leader in the WH and would rather put people in power whom will undoubtedly "lead" this country off the cliff we're currently trying to get away from, well, we're lost as a country IMHO.

Facts play no part. Merely because somebody holds a position in a leadership role does not make them a leader.

I suppose you have kind of a point there but I'd love to have Rather or any of the GOP candidates actually have to make a case for why Obama isn't "a leader" but I know that that's probably asking too much of what passes for our media. It seems like the tough questions are reserved for Democrats or the onus is always on them to prove their case. GOPers can just say whatever the hell they want and it passes straight through the "media filter" that they spend so much damned time complaining about anyway.

in that capacity and expend time attempting to invalidate him as a leader. He does his job as well as he can under the circumstances.

Not to mention leaders come in all varieties from Lincoln and Gandhi to Hitler and Stalin.

Most of us know what is needed - get money flowing in the economy. Living-Wage-Jobs, manufacturing jobs, rebuilding our aging and crumbling infrastructure.
But, I'm not seeing anyone stepping up to lead in any meaningful way. All I see are more cuts, more tax cuts, more public employee job cuts. This is not the way to recovery.

Edited to add: We needed a Roosevelt, but we got an Obama

when he wussed out over the bush national guard story.

Actually for a lot of people it happened when he broke down in tears on the Letterman show after 9/11 and pledged his undying loyalty to the bush baby.
