Congress

I’m becoming somewhat alarmed about the shrinking democratic majority in the House. With Congressman Richmond and Congresswoman Fudge leaving for Executive Branch positions, our majority will be only by 2 seats. While the two vacated House seats will almost certainly be won by democrats as they are heavily blue districts, it will be months until those special elections are held, and even then, a mere four seat advantage is worrisome. But it is what it is.

especially the ones who have been the most vocally insisting the election was somehow tainted.

well if it's somehow tainted for biden, it's equally tainted for those representatives, so if they're expressing doubt about their own election, they shouldn't be seated.

Even in the best of times, when an issue is hyper local for some congressional reps, they dissent. So a close majority is dangerous on some issues. I think the DNC, again, took for granted some districts and constituencies based on a dated, flawed set of assumptions. To lose seats like Donna Shalala's is troubling and especially in a national election where the contrasts between Dem and Rep could not have been more stark and leverageable if one paid attention. I worry too!
