what could be more "elitist" than substituting your own will for the will of the people?

among the many orwellian features of republican rhetoric is the criticism and dismissal of experts and knowledge and wisdom and any person or policy influenced by that sort of thing as "elitist".

yet here we have a political party that's all about imposing their view no matter what we the people say. they constantly suppress the vote and now they even reject the vote afterwards, because they think their views and their people are, right or better or more deserving or whatever.

republicans are the ultimate elitists, completely dismissive and completely looking down on we the people as they try to rule in complete defiance of us.

way of defining "elitist," don't they?

Being a gazillionaire, either corporate or citizen, favoring minority rule over majority, and being exempted from adherence to the law are just a few of the items that float to the top of their swampwater when it comes to evading the Webster's definition.
