As a kid, watching Harvey doing comedy skits with Carol Burnett, it didn't matter if the writing was great or so-so, the actors barely controlling their own commitment to character, and the tension created from this pulled the character into the scene, and made us participants, rather than just observers.

We know dis cause we saw dat.
It still works, just ask Bill Hader.

For me, she is the true star of today's Saturday Night Live. I find that rather cool, being for years it was more of a man's world over there and women were often secondary supporting characters. It is so much more diverse than it used to be.

I would have loved to see her with Robin Williams...I miss Robin Williams, and the buffoon is lucky Robin Williams, and George Carlin were not around.

Great photos, thank you.

Especially when they do the Sheila Sauvage skit in the bar (forgot the name of the bar), where Kate is always there for last call and trying to pick up the random guy (or gal) who is still there, while Keenan is trying desperately to get rid of both of them.

Cecily Strong is hilarious as well.

I honestly don’t know of many people who can both lampoon so many others and create he own insanely funny characters. Her woman kidnapped by aliens (who nearly destroyed Ryan Reynolds’ composure) is fabulous. Her Kellyanne is brilliant. And she’ll always be Hillary to me.

She sings, she does sketch comedy, she plays the piano, and her impressions might be the strongest part of her broad and deep list of talents.

The only one I can think of (although there may well be some I'm forgetting at this early hour) that was at her level of "all round talent" on SNL is Dan Aykroyd. We all remember the amazing skit that took on a life of its own as The Blues Brothers, and Eric Idle once said that, of all the comic actors they met in this side of the Atlantic, he was the one that could have been a Python. High praise.

She is a giant among giants.

I’ve read her contract is ending this year.

With the right group of writers, She could be the next Carol Burnett.

Although she steals every scene she is in, most of the theatrical films I’ve seen her in have been subpar.

and she’s been thoughtful and smart. Not as over the top as most people who have shows. She’d be amazing in skits with the right writers though.

these great performances!

For me because of what happened her Hillary will always edge out the others.

Remember her calling on a Trump Elector with all the informational and pleading signs - all without a sound except for the fake Xmas Carolers to fool the Elector's husband?

Bwaaahaahahaaaaaaa!

And of course "Hallelujah".

A comedy show for her sounds great!

This is one of my favorite skits of hers:
