I do not believe that Biden will be the 46th president of the United States

Instead, I have a very strong suspicion that fuckhead Trump will resign, fuckhead Pence will briefly become 46th, and Biden will then be the 47th president. I'm guessing that Trump's resignation will come the night before or morning of Biden's inauguration.

This will have three basic effects for Trump:

1. It will absolutely distract the media from Biden's inauguration, pointing the spotlight once more on fuckhead Trump.

2. It will, in fuckhead Trump's addled brain, absolve him of any need to act like an adult in facilitating the transition to Biden's administration.

3. It will give him an easy excuse to skip Biden's inauguration. Trump will instead use that same time to make some big, distracting announcement about his future political plans, his next marketing venture, or a new round of lawsuits to challenge the legitimacy of Biden's presidency, etc. The real goal, as always, will be to get his fuckhead cultists to give him money, and they will happily do so, because they're fuckhead cultists.

4. It will allow the briefly serving president Pence to pardon Trump, at least for such crimes as a president can pardon.

SDNY MUST be prepared to act quickly with whatever criminal case they plan against Trump, because is is almost absolutely guaranteed to flee the country at first opportunity. If they're smart, and we know that they are, they have already planned for his last-minute resignation and pardon.

Regardless, I congratulate President-elect Biden and Vice President-elect Harris for their historic victory against an entrenched, well-funded criminal opponent!

Trump isn't going to resign because that would be the ultimate failure.

He can do everything on your list without resigning, by the way. He doesn't need an excuse to act like a child.

Resign? Admit defeat? The Trump psyche is incapable of going there, I suspect.

Since we all know that to accept a pardon is to admit guilt, Trump would preempt this by declaring that any pardons are intended to protect himself and his vile spawn from "fake prosecution by loser Democrats," or some similarly lofty claim.

Trump is as dumb as a box of Trumps, of course, but he is infuriatingly good at oozing his way out of accountability, even when he is formally found to be in the wrong (or guilty, as the case may be).

His ego is the x-factor, naturally, but it's about to run up against his instincts of self-preservation, so it's hard to say which way he'll go with it.

I would love for his arrogance to keep in office until the very end, unable to believe in his own catastrophic failure or the reality of his impending legal doom.

Wild times!

He can kite/delay the state level stuff by claiming bias as long as hes 'running for president in 2024', he can raise cash from the rubes while he does so. He can ensconce himself in florida, hire lawyers for the rest, and keep claiming that hes a poor poor victim of the left's cancel culture and how unfair it all is.

Unless NYS AGs office or Manhattan DAs office has arrest warrants to serve his fat ass THE MOMENT he steps off AF1, he can delay.

Only other option is to have AF1 drop him in a non-ex country before Biden is sworn in.

i dont think even this scotus would allow it to stand.

it would set the president above the law and above the courts.
literally, he could order someone to blow up the court, pardon them, pardon himself, then appoint all new justices.

does that sound like something they would go for?

He is the one that REALLY won. In his eyes, Biden didn't win at all bc it was all "fraudulent". And when you are used to being above the law, you can create whatever reality you want. He is a sick man who found himself a group of morally bankrupt congressional assholes to help him in his deluded charade.
