My sixth grade teacher, an evangelical Christian, posted video of Trump at the Army/Navy

game, commenting it was great to see him get the proper respect. I couldn't resist pointing out that they would be busted for booing or anything like that. He is still technically Commander in Chief. I'm wondering if Trump goes too far, would the military even follow his orders? That was probably the only public event besides his rallies where we wouldn't hear a chorus of boo's.

etc. People go into military expecting to follow orders and there are more than a few who are racists, fascists, would love to herd those not like them into cages, authoritarian, and worse. Plus, there are civilians who would support that.

Not sure which side prevails, but it wouldn’t be pretty.

did you know 60% of the US military are minorities?
Iraqis and Vietnamese were shooting at us too. I dont know anything about bombing innocents but I do object to the characterization of our service people "not balking at bombing " them.
Gotta call BS on this post Hoyt.

but I’m sure I read a poll that has the military supporting Biden over Trump. Whatever the case, I have much more faith in the loyalty of the military to the constitution than the police’s.

He said the cheering was a joke and immediately after everyone did their ordered response, the crowd was eerily quiet. There were very few actual supporters in that crowd. Mostly, the cadets were pissed he wasn't wearing a mask. Leadership matters to them.

More about that will no doubt be coming out someday as current military retire and write their biographies. Trump is CIC, of course, until 12:01 January 20.

Don't imagine she or he was pleased at having the notion that at least here he could count on being respected blasted. Good.
