Will there be a backlash?

In most non-presidential national elections, the party that is out of control of the White House picks up seats in congress. One exception was the election in 1998 where the Republicans impeached President Bill Clinton. The Democrats picked up seats in the House and took control of the Senate. There should be a backlash for a major segment of the Republican Party trying to overturn a legitimate election. Don't let the people forget. We can all do our part. Remind friends and coworkers in discussions. Continue to bring it up in social media. A good majority of the people think that Biden won the election fair and square.

I'll bet there are people who voted for Biden, then voted Republican down ballot, who are regretting it now.

Backlash may indeed happen. We only hold the House by a few and will have a slim majority in the Senate.
It could be turned over in 2022 if we loosen the connections which gave us the White House.

Many of us here are livid that our “moderate” state rep that keeps getting re-elected (God knows why) put his name on the attempt to have our votes thrown out (the PA one that went to SCOTUS). A number of R state reps from this blue-purple county asked to have their names removed citing “clerical error” - he did not.
In 2 years I plan on flooding social media, LTEs etc with one message - this “nice guy” who comes to your kid's soccer game thinks he has the right to have your vote discarded like a used Kleenex.
