Harwood thinks Trump might try to sink Loeffler & Perdue to strike back at McConnell for conceding

this morning:

Barr had no choice but to recognize reality: no major election fraud

now he’s out

McConnell had no choice but to recognize Biden’s win

he’ll soon find out how selfish and destructive Trump wants to be

by sinking Loeffler/Perdue, Trump could put McConnell out of his job too

Editing to add a tweet with video of McConnell congratulating Biden and Harris this morning:

And that's Democrats.

No amount of infighting will keep them from the polls to deny Schumer the Majority Leader position. Our only hope is to outnumber them.

Fortunately, there is a chance of doing that. It'll take everything we've got.

The only thing worse than losing to those bad evil Other People is being eclipsed by someone on your own side who isn't a bad evil Other Person who won when you lost. So yes, he'll do everything he can to drive the GOP into the ground now that they have failed him.

Here's one comment that makes a lot of sense, actually. Consider it a word to the wise, ie the Dems.

Republicans couldn't be happier with the outcome of the election.

They made gains in the House and in statehouses. They're set up good for redistricting next year. The 2022 midterm elections promises to be an opportunity to retake the House and shore up the Senate, --a Senate that they'll probably keep barring a catastrophe in Georgia. Biden will be able to get nothing accomplished without deep compromise.

And all of this plus they got rid of Donald Trump. Do not kid yourself. There's not a single elected GOP official who is mourning Trump's loss.

As far as they're concerned, the 2020 elections couldn't have been better

cheating, corruption, treachery. The RNC and NRA and many gop leaders are vulnerable. That's one of the downsides to working with the mob...everyone owns everyone else.

Oh, and all the foreign interests who funneled money to the gop through various means also own them. they have no independent future as an organization, and some of them as individuals (Nunes, Graham, McConnell too although he is probably smart enough to cover tracks) will always have the fear of being exposed hanging over their heads...unless they come clean (as Cohen did, partially) and start over.

Losing the senate would be bad for the gop, certainly, and not just in terms of who sets policy. Investigations would actually happen fairly...and some people and organizations would have to take the fall, but over the course of months and years. Trump, or one of his co-conspirators, could burn it down in a matter of hours. And may very well do that...after all he may get the pardons he needs to protect himself. And as we've seen...retribution, cruelty, and domination are the points...reasons for almost everything he has done his entire life.

He’s such a successful entrepreneur that he should be able to do this easily, and he would be ensured of total loyalty. I’m sure he would get at least 20 million people to join his party, and they would all love him. I would love to see that happen because it would splinter the Republican bloc.

a narcissist works. They punish anyone who dares go against them, and they hold grudges for life.

There is no doubt in my mind that trump would not try and get his revenge by using his cult to NOT vote in Georgia's election next month. The only way he "might" not interfere would be if the GOP made some kind of a deal with him that would greatly benefit him.

I can also see him using a loss for the GOP to gain MORE control over the party for the next 4 years. I guess we will see what happens soon enough.
