Latest NYC Snow Alert: 12-16 inches...

Snow will start off light between 3:00PM and 6:00PM and become increasingly heavy into the evening.
* The period of heaviest snow is expected from around 10:00PM Wednesday through about 5:00AM Thursday morning.
* Likely total snowfall amounts of 12.0 inches with the potential for upwards of 16.0 inches throughout the entire duration of the event.

I would love to see that here.

Our city does not have the equipment to handle even 2" of snow, and it is a very rare decade that sees anything close to that amount once in that interval. But everyone slows down and enjoys. People grab their cross country skis and hit the streets.

But we are in the era of no snow days for school and work because... pandemic.

And of course, sheltering the houseless population is more difficult with the pandemic so it's not all nostalgic white christmas fun.

Still, I'd love to see it here.
