Joel Osteen denied accepting any money from Federal PPP loans. Turns out his Lakewood Church took $4.4 million.

Joel Osteen's Lakewood Church got $4.4 million in federal PPP loans
Joel Osteen’s Lakewood Church and other large Houston congregations were among those who received multi-million dollar loans as part of the federal government’s COVID-19 stimulus package known as PPP.

They have no business getting taxpayer money in this instance. The freaking catholic church even got covid money.

9. WHEN are we going to hear that these loans were called back?

Children are starving and people will soon be thrown out of their apartments/homes, but good ol' Joel lives in luxury with no qualms about what he has done.

We have heard of so many of these situations (I call violations), but I never hear they had to give back the money.

I hope they have an enjoyable Christmas holiday while these children are heartbroken. Their holiday will be pretty bleak with little food or few gifts under the tree.

These evangelists irritate me as much as the money-changer politicians. Both steal money from those least able to afford their contributions, but are looking for an end to their suffering. Jesus looked down on both, as should we.

How do that get away with their constant scamming? And they don't even have to pay taxes on any of it! It all goes right into their pockets! Grrrrrr!

Hope the time it happens will be soon. It really is ugly for them to flaunt their easy profit in the faces of their usually struggling, emotionally dependent followers. They should have been ashamed of themselves so long time ago.

Time to break their exploitative bad habits.
