Regarding Bill Barr, Mitch McConnell, and many others similarly situated, I'm tempted to say this:
If it were traditionally thought to be particularly honorable or brave to jump off a sinking ship, sinking-ship-jumpers would be compared to a different kind of animal.

even after he gnawed the hole in the hull......It doesn't mean anyone is obligated to give him a seat in the life boat. It may become an issue for the rat of "how far can you swim?"
