(10,832 posts)Much better than sending him off to China. We need Buttigieg right here with his awesome command of the issues and dragon-slaying abilities.

(58,785 posts)Hopefully Buttigieg will be just the kind of person we need at the top. In the face of huge need, I couldn't give a flying F that he's gay or reminds Biden of Beau. We need someone who has it in him to make big things happen. And we'll finally (GA voters willing) get to work creating many great new, well-paying jobs and jobs training programs.

(9,822 posts)I hope Pete will set in motion a trend against the car-based development of the past 100 years. More paving has never solved any problems, and most states need their DOTs pulled up short at this point.
"Big" may not even be the best idea for rail. We need, rather than high-speed rail, HIGHER speed rail on the lines we've got, and opening up lots more passenger service everywhere. I hope Pete will be an advocate for Amtrak.

(58,785 posts)a half billion solar cells on our nations roofs, most privately owned, along with the energy, but coordinated by many, far more resilient, flexibly independent and secure power centers. Huge change that we would be well on the way to achieving by now. Along with other shifts to sustainable energy.
Speaking of, Biden is reportedly getting ready to choose various environmental related heads, interior Energy, EPA etc.
