Blumenthal : Today's classified briefing on Russia's cyberattack left me deeply alarmed

Stunning. Today’s classified briefing on Russia’s cyberattack left me deeply alarmed, in fact downright scared. Americans deserve to know what's going on. Declassify what’s known & unknown.

..........................

Blumenthal is basically letting us know this is much more serious than we are being told.

I think the damage from this cyberattack is incalculable and now with Sen Blumenthal speaking out, i am even more worried about what the Russians have stolen. IMO tRump is a Putin mole and his dismantling and de-capitating our national intelligence services allowed this to happen.

He's not going anywhere. He might go to maga-laga but he'll probably be under house arrest with no phone service. He is a national security threat and many charges may apply such that he'll be sequestered there but ultimately be in custody soon thereafter.

CISA leads the effort to enhance the security, resiliency, and reliability of the Nation's cybersecurity and communications infrastructure.

This is the department that's responsible for domestic cybersecurity.

The commission that produced a report on what CISA should do differently has a Russian-born woman who admires krebs and she has koalas (“cozy bears?”) on her Twitter header.

likely to get worse if nothing is done, the western world (at least) does not simply cut Russia (and it's allies) off from the internet.

I don't know if that's at all a practical possibility but to start with why not just send folks to the borders with cable cutters??

It's time to play hardball with those a-holes.

Absolutely agree with the Senator. There needs to be an investigation and a report for POTUS Biden so he can chart a cyber national defense.
As bad as this is, I really enjoyed writing “POTUS Biden”.

He keeps going hair on fire about classified info that he claims the American people deserve to know. He's been doing this for nearly a year. And yet that info is still tightly held.

WHY won't he just tell us?

There's no penalty for reading classified info into the Record on the floor of the Chamber.

JUST DO IT!
