Stunning. Todays classified briefing on Russias cyberattack left me deeply alarmed, in fact downright scared. Americans deserve to know what's going on. Declassify whats known & unknown.

Blumenthal is basically letting us know this is much more serious than we are being told.

(1,156 posts)I think the damage from this cyberattack is incalculable and now with Sen Blumenthal speaking out, i am even more worried about what the Russians have stolen. IMO tRump is a Putin mole and his dismantling and de-capitating our national intelligence services allowed this to happen.

(11,495 posts)skip the country before all this shit hits the fan. If he was involved, wouldn't this be "treason"?
He's not going anywhere. He might go to maga-laga but he'll probably be under house arrest with no phone service. He is a national security threat and many charges may apply such that he'll be sequestered there but ultimately be in custody soon thereafter.

(4,557 posts)likely to get worse if nothing is done, the western world (at least) does not simply cut Russia (and it's allies) off from the internet.
I don't know if that's at all a practical possibility but to start with why not just send folks to the borders with cable cutters??
It's time to play hardball with those a-holes.

(9,287 posts)Absolutely agree with the Senator. There needs to be an investigation and a report for POTUS Biden so he can chart a cyber national defense.
As bad as this is, I really enjoyed writing POTUS Biden.

I am eternally grateful that Joe Biden is coming in soon, albeit with a federal government in rubble. All hands on deck! Rehire people with experience!

(13,571 posts)He keeps going hair on fire about classified info that he claims the American people deserve to know. He's been doing this for nearly a year. And yet that info is still tightly held.
WHY won't he just tell us?
There's no penalty for reading classified info into the Record on the floor of the Chamber.
JUST DO IT!
