Maybe he's used to having other people do it for him?
On MSNBC, now.

(3,282 posts)don't look like they do on accident. It's intentional.
Boris Johnson has been known to mess his hair up before debates because he believed it would lead to his opponent underestimating him. It help lower the bar too. If you look like your crazy, but when you talk you only sound half crazy people will be impressed.

(22,758 posts)didn't see him this am, but really? I would much rather see an uncombed Sean Penn discussing real world problems and what he is doing about it... than a thousand coifed assholes complaining and rationalizing

(16,829 posts)I love Sean Penn as an actor and I love the work he does to help the poor. But I wanted to reach into my tv and comb his hair during the entire interview.

(11,797 posts)I mean, setting Boris aside, the men in England are obsessed with their hair (when they have it). There are more barbers in my town than I've ever seen anywhere I've lived.
panader0
(25,816 posts)I haven't owned one since my hair was short, in the 60's.
I haven't been to a barber since then either. I have had long hair since.
I've cut my hair a few times, mostly just the ends. I even shaved my head once
for solidarity with my step-son during my divorce. That was a mistake as not all of
it grew back. My hair doesn't really grow much anymore (my forehead does though).
I brush my hair everyday and keep it neat.

(21,110 posts)Yes, "normal" people comb their hair, but one should be free to not be normal as long as it doesn't hurt others. JMO

Or, he doesn't bother looking in mirrors?
Or, he just doesn't care?
Or, because he can?
I often wonder about these things, too.

(512 posts)As a black women in VP position of a top 10 Fortune 500 company, I have heard this shit before. Why does she have dreadlocks, an Afro, dress so casually, wear sneakers to the office...give me a fucking break. I think he looks good! I also think my country ass white husband with a big ole beard and shaggy hair looks hot too. Plus, I can 100% guarantee that not only has Sean Penn given millions more to charity than those hating on his appearance, but so has my husband. The time has come to stop judging people on their looks!
milestogo
(16,829 posts)Nobody is judging anyone.
Its time to stop pigeonholing other DUers for saying a few words or trying to shut them down over something trivial.
