They believe that they are this overwhelming large majority of the population because everyone that they communicate with are just like them. They believe, as they have been told for so long, that we are sheeple who fear them, and that with sufficient force, we will allow them to govern us. They look forward to a great conflagration that will end with them accomplishing the national chaos that they consider to be the "freedom" that our founders intended. Logic is not their strong suit.
