Look at the most ridiculous conspiracy theories and flat out lies that have been told about the Obamas and Clintons these past 30 years or so, despite the evidence (or complete lack of) to the contrary to those claims. Has that deterred any of these fucking idiots?

(26,008 posts)people isolated or fled from anyone who had Bubonic Plague. Whole households of nobility and aristocrats fled from the cities to country estates to escape infection. The poorer classes were left to fend for themselves, but they devised means to isolate the sick.
It's not as if nobody ever figured out that if one person gets a disease, people near them will get it too. They didn't know about microbes, but they knew that breathing the same air or touching the same objects or a sick person could spread a disease.
