“Here’s the bottom line, Kelly Loeffler has been campaigning with a klansman,” Ossoff said at the time.

Loeffler’s campaign has said that the senator did not know who Doles was back then, that she condemns him, and that she would’ve had him removed if she knew. CNN has noted that “this is not, at all, the same as ‘campaigning with a klansman,'” so Tapper had Ossoff answer for this during an interview for State of the Union.

“I’m sure you’ve taken photos with thousands of strangers,” Tapper said. “Isn’t it important for candidates to tell the truth?”

“It is,” Ossoff answered, though he countered that the Doles photo was not an “isolated incident,” and that Loeffler “has been seen campaigning alongside radical white supremacists.”

“I believe they are drawn to her campaign because her campaign has consisted almost entirely of racist attacks on the Black Lives Matter movement and on the black church,” Ossoff went on. “The fact that these elements continue to be drawn to her, to support her, to campaign alongside her, and to appear in photos next to her is deeply distressing.”

Ossoff continued his attack on Loeffler and David Perdue, though Tapper emphasized, ‘Just to be clear, she was not campaigning with a klansman. That wasn’t true, what you said.”

was that Loeffler posted the photo on her own feed so it wasn’t just some random pic with a supporter as Tapper falsely tried to characterize it.

Left wing attacks on the media are as bad as right wing ones.

A guy attending an even and getting in a selfie line isn't "campaigning with."

Ossoff can make that attack if he wants and it's easy to do, but he also has to assume that a reporter is going to push him on it as well.

I don't think you can look at Jake Tapper and come away with him being a right-winger. Just look at his tweets over the past week.

I watched. These are all mischaracterizations of how the questions were asked.

His questions wasn't an accusation it was given as an opportunity for Abrams to explain the difference in her arguments about voter suppressions and Trumps arguments of voter fraud, which she handled just fine.

ATLANTA – A newly-unearthed photo of Sen. Kelly Loeffler with yet another leader of a Georgia white supremacist group undermines Loeffler’s claim that she didn’t know the former KKK leader who heads the organization after she posed for a photo with him at a recent campaign event.

Although Loeffler denied knowing former KKK leader Chester Doles, Doles told Popular Information’s Judd Legum on Wednesday that his group American Patriots USA provided security at one of Loeffler’s campaign events on September 3. In addition to Loeffler’s photo with Doles which was unearthed over the weekend, Loeffler also posed for a photo with American Patriots USA vice president Josh Mote along with Arkansas Sen. Tom Cotton.

“These latest photos of Kelly Loeffler posing with white supremacist leaders raise serious questions about Loeffler’s association with far-right extremists and her dubious denials earlier this week,” said Stosh Cotler, CEO of Bend the Arc: Jewish Action. “Why is Loeffler’s campaign claiming not to know a white supremacist group that provided security for her event? Why do KKK members and neo-Nazis find Kelly Loeffler’s campaign so appealing? Why isn’t the Georgia Republican Party concerned about the white supremacists flocking to their cause? Kelly Loeffler claims to speak for our Jewish community while empowering those who would do us harm — we’re going to speak loudly for ourselves and our neighbors at the polls on January 5.”

Bend the Arc: Jewish Action Atlanta leader Victoria Raggs issued an additional statement on Thursday:

“Once again, the mask is off when it comes to Kelly Loeffler’s history of pandering to white nationalists to try to win over Trump’s base,” said Raggs. “Sen. 32. The better question

for Ossoff and others to be asking is why white supremacists are so attracted to republican politics. Using a photo at a campaign event isn't super effective and is easily disregarded. Politicians don't know most of the people at their events or even those that they take pictures with. Elizabeth Warren was spending hours taking photos. I'm sure some of those were with some undesirable people. However, asking why so many white supremacists and conspiracy theorists are showing up at these events leads to a larger discussion of why they find those politicians so favorable to their worldviews.
