(82,849 posts)It didn't work in Michigan, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Arizona, or Nevada, so it's what he's got left. Isn't it curious how there was cheating on the vote only in states that Trump lost? No cheating in states where he won. Luckily, nobody in the media have spotted this odd trend.

(115,683 posts)1. GA has been a solid GOP state for years but this time it wasn't.
2. Black people voted in GA in record numbers and their votes got counted.
3. The GOP governor didn't do as he was told.
4. The media spotlight is on GA right now and he needs to be part of it.
5. He's a fascist and an asshole.

(22,035 posts)Georgia is Trump's best bet to change the outcome. It has a Republican governor, a Republican Secretary of State and a Republican dominated legislature.
If he can get Georgia to change its outcome, then Trump could claim that other states need to "recalculate" their votes, too.
It won't work mostly because it would require illegal acts and no one wants to go to jail for Trump anymore.
I'm actually surprised Trump didn't offer Raffensperger a pardon if he'd do what Trump was asking. I guess Trump knew there were too many people on the call. I bet he's pissed that WaPo got ahold of the recording of the call!

(58,785 posts)GA Republicans blatantly steal the governor's race, and others. He probably assumed he'd have no problem getting the same Republicans to steal GA for him.

(2,785 posts)and I don't think that would be safe to assume, and if Georgia is the only place he tried this it's, because he didn't get what he wanted. If he would've been successful in Georgia he would've moved on to Arizona although Arizona has a Democratic Attorney General, but you get the point?

So, I'd say it's a given he's been flinging the phone poo at officials in other States and Congress members. He spends quite a bit of time on the phone.

(31,261 posts)Pennsylvania. But all three state have republican controlled House and Senates. My guess? Trump was hoping to get shenanigans pulled in Georgia to reverse that state for him, then he would put pressure on the House and Senate in Pennsylvania and either Arizona or Michigan to reduce Joe's total to below 270. I honestly can't believe that I am witnessing something like this in my lifetime, regardless of what some here want to believe, Bush won Florida in 2000 by around 500 votes - 97,000 people here wasted a vote on Nader.

(12,650 posts)With party loyalist and fellow sleeze Kemp in charge, and Georgia was actually close enough to recount, he knew he should have just won, no problem (like Kemp did). But the recount didn't go his way...
If Georgia had gone his way, he probably thinks he could have had the time to work over AZ and WI SoSs or legaslatures enough to overturn their elections, then judge shopped to get PA or MI blue district votes rejected.
Georgia ruined his plans, man...he just could have gotten away with it if not for Georgia...
