...that said officer had been removed from life support -- so, while it's technically true that none have died yet, it seems likely that it's only a matter of time.

I will grant you that normally that is a good principle. Very reasonable.

However, their competence and/or integrity was displayed yesterday for the entire world to see with less than stellar results. So.... I think reporters hustling around trying to cover the story themselves instead of just waiting for press releases from Clusterfuck McClusterfuckface is also reasonable. Sure they might make mistakes and are sometimes wrong but it's not like the USCP doesn't know what that is like.

He's not going to live, even if he is still legally alive.

CNN and NY Times are reporting dead and HuffPost says on life support while they wait on his family to arrive.

Pretty clear how this is going to go.
