He turned on the rioters, his most loyal supporters, as if he had never seen them before? Strange because, he was standing in front of them only minutes before the riot, urging and inciting them to march down to the Capitol. It was on nationwide TV. Did he think no one saw him? He wants them punished to the full extent of the law? Really?

Perhaps he is very fearful that he is going to be criminally charged? Four people, so far, have died as a result of his incitement. At least one more is in critical condition. It's understandable that he would want no connection to that.

He looked like Murphy, in the Cuckoo's Nest, after they had forced some mind-numbing drugs into him. It was like someone else. Someone you should never trust.

Two observations:

1) It was clearly scripted. He said exactly all the things he needed to say to keep from being re-impeached (and possibly convicted in the Senate this time) and to keep himself from being criminally charged in the Congress Invasion once he's out of office.

2) He was also apparently heavily medicated. His eyes were barely open, and his jaw was so stiff that he could barely speak.

That's been more than four years ago, and I saw it only once, but I remember it looking small, dark, grainy, with a featureless gray background and nothing else in the frame but his face, and he wasn't looking directly into the camera, but a little down and at a little bit of an angle, and he looked sheepish sort of, and he was reciting words that he pretty clearly did not want to say, as if he was thinking, I've GOT to say this but I REALLY don't want to, but if I want to be president, I've GOT to do it. As I said, that was more than four years ago and I saw it only once, but that is a description of the recollection I have of it in my mind.

I took that as a call to his idiotic followers that he's not done with them yet. I really hope I'm wrong but that line really stood out for me.

The cynic in me says that since the coup attempt failed because the zip ties never made it to their intended targets (Pence, Pelosi, Schumer, and whoever else), the Orange Anus and his co-conspirators have a Plan B waiting in the wings for a future date. And for it to succeed, he will probably once again need his crowd of dumb ass minions to provide cover for whatever the hell it is that they have planned.

I hope I'm wrong but I don't trust the Orange Anus as far as I can throw him.
