GOP must be nervous as hell this week and next

I bet they are scared sh*tless (as we all are) that there isn't ANOTHER tragedy or incident to remind everyone that the gop allowed this to happen. I bet there is HUGE gop and donor pressure on the WH that the next couple of weeks is smooth...and I'm interested to find out how they will manage that with their sociopathic, narcissistic, dangerous cult leader.

Deals being cut w Ivanka and Jared to keep him inactive in exchange for....? Offers from RNC and Adelson and Kochs to be quiet in exchange for a couple of billion? Have letters from cabinet and pence invoking the 25th ALREADY been written and copies placed on all the Trumps' desks for contemplation along with summaries of investigations? Is the highly illegal Georgia phone call being used as threat? Pardons dangled along with promise not to challenge family and self pardons as long as Trump doesn't talk to anyone or make an appearance over the next 12 days?

Does threat of imminent impeachment play a role in the discussions?

Does anyone think these kinds of conversations aren't going on?

1. I think Trump has been effectively neutered for the remainder of his term

There are only two things he can still do:

1. Issue pardons
2. Drop a bomb on someone (even this would have to go through layers of people going along)

Both still dangerous, but I suspect people remaining on the inside are trying to push back most on his tendancies in these areas.

Cutting poltical or legal deals are dead. ZERO chance. No one will negotiate with him.

As long as he still has twitter, he can and will incite more violence.

But yeah, he has this tool in his box to use. He's walking a fine, fine line though. They've demonstarted they will take it down.

3. Their Fate Is In Their Hands...

They could go to the WH and force him to resign. They could sit on Pence and the Cabinet to 25A him. The could go on record to say they would support impeachment in both the House & Senate and move swiftly to the vote.

They have no reason to be nervous. They have options to deal with Trump and render him as not a threat - but they seem to still be circling the wagons for him.

They will be responsible for any additional damage Trump thrusts upon us before Jan 20, 2021 at 12 noon.

4. They really don't have a conscience. I think they worry about loss of power.

And how to mitigate any responsibility for what they have been a part of. The RNC should also take a hit as they funded some of the buses for the terrorists. The bigger factor IMO was the day of the attempted coup when the military went over DT and had Pence authorize the NG to mobilize more troops. DT had to know it was hopeless and no matter if bombs exploded and more chaos ensued, he had no hope of invoking martial law. He'd been neutered.
