As a former public employee, metal detectors became part of daily functioning. You had a choice, comply or get another job. Same with wearing masks.

It wasn't until there were breakdowns in the checks and balances of government--engineered by these same kinds of Republican freedom-fighters--that we ended up needing them. Gun laws dismantled, RW Hate Groups tolerated, etc. So the same people that refuse to take action to prevent violence are the ones who say they now need guns to react to it.

OK, I get it.

I mean, my God after last Wednesday, anything is possible. She's already shown that she's complicit, she's perfectly OK with overthrowing the government and the Constitution. And they let her walk into the Capitol with a gun?

as long as she agrees to be handcuffed, wear leg shackles, and of course her face mask. She can carry her gun wherever she pleases, but all all bullets stay at the magnetometer station.

when she changed her hairstyle. And they filed charges! Stop this fucking double standard now!

The U.S. Attorney General's Office is considering the possibility of charging Georgia Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney with assault or obstructing a police officer. The potential charges stem from an incident last Wednesday when a Capitol Hill policeman reportedly tried to stop Representative McKinney from walking around a metal detector.

Lawmakers often bypass the security devices. But the policemen on duty said they did not recognize the six-term representative, and alleged that when they approached her, she poked one of them with her cell phone.
