He hadn't made a public statement about doing it, & preferred to force the 25tf.
But, I knew he'd vote for it.
This is a purple district & getting on the crazy train is a big risk.
Not sure what his grand play is, though.
Leadership of a party in need of restructuring?
But, he's been anti-orange moron for nearly 2 years. He's angling for something, but I'm not sure what it is yet.

Notable that one represents a former secessionist Confederate state, the state where the Civil War started and a Trump stronghold like most of the old Confederacy.

Newhouse and Herrera-Buetler. Both votes come with significant personal risk; H-B represents Vancouver "Home of the Proud Boy" WA.

Clark County narrowly voted for Hillary in 2016 and probably voted for Biden too. And Vancouver, which is a large city just across the river from Portland, seems likely to be one of the most liberal places in the county.

It's a PNW thing: Liberal and Reactionary in the same town. Seattle is home to the Discovery Institute (Intelligent Design bullshitters).
