Only a week ago! He blasted Donnie and you thought he was ready to crossover to the good side( )? Hold the phone! His game is about to begin! He wants the power of the GOPers power at his beck and call! He is highest ranking GOPer and he can control more than he did as Majority Leader. So Schumer need to be ready for Mitchs dirty ways?

(14,150 posts)Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) has criticized Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) over giving "legitimacy" to former President Donald Trump's impending impeachment trial for allegedly inciting the Capitol riots on January 6.
Graham spoke out against the GOP leader during a Wednesday afternoon appearance on Fox News following the inauguration of President Joe Biden. On Tuesday, McConnell said that Trump "provoked" and "fed lies" to the violent rioters while addressing the Senate for the last time as majority leader. McConnell has also indicated that he is open to the possibility of convicting Trump in the impeachment trial.

(26,044 posts)...but he never ceased to be a Republican.
In fact, that's why he turned on Trump -- because the latter had become a problem for Republicans. He's fine with throwing Trump under the bus now that he's of no use to them, if doing so will increase their chances to make gains in the future.
