Marsha reply letter two weeks after I asked her to support impeachment

January 20, 2021

Dear Tnlurker,

Thank you for contacting me regarding the second impeachment of President Donald Trump. I always appreciate hearing from Tennesseans.

On January 13, 2021, the House of Representatives voted 232 - 197 on a resolution (H.Res.24) to impeach President Trump for high crimes and misdemeanors. Specifically, the resolution sets forth an article of impeachment that President Trump incited violence against the government of the United States. The Constitution places with the Senate the sole power to try all impeachments, and a vote by two-thirds of all senators is required for conviction. The House has not yet transmitted their article of impeachment to the Senate.

To persist with an impeachment trial after President Trump has already left office will only further divide Americans and exacerbate tensions. Moreover, there are questions about whether doing so is even constitutional. Please be assured I will keep your thoughts in mind as this process unfolds.

Again, thank you for taking the time to contact me. If you would like regular updates on my work for Tennessee, please sign up for my weekly newsletter or follow me on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.

Sincerely,

Marsha Blackburn
United States Senator

A return letter from a Congress member that does not tell you how to send them money?

Unheard of.

The robber has already left her house
Even tho the police know who it is. There is no use in pursuing charges against them because it could further cause a division in the parties envolved. ?
