My husband LOVED the idiot swill that is WWE and in the day, WCW. I never understood how a man with such gentle grace could enjoy that stupidity. It blasted into my home at least twice a week. In football season he recorded it to watch later.
I would pay enough attention to be able to match a face to a name, but otherwise no.
However, I noticed when The Donald was bloviating on stage at Andrews, the small crowd broke into the same kind of sing song chant they give to big names in WWE when they retire. "Thank you Donald" (clap clap clap) - repeated over and over.
For me it was perfect. He is barely real. Toxic performance art... not even good at that. He danced for his fans, played up the drama, took their money and sold them souvenir hats. They will always remember the mirage of tough and never see the cripple he really is.
