Can Dominion take down OAN? Could their lawsuit put them out of business?

I was just thinking about the Hulk Hogan lawsuit - backed by trump supporter Peter Thiel, put Gawker out of business. For anyone that doesn't know, Gawker was one of the top gossip sites a few years ago. I bit like TMZ I suppose. It was shocking when that lawsuit pretty much buried them. Granted, I don't know what their financial status was or how wealthy OAN's owners are.

Anyone know anything about OAN's owners? I know Faux news could withstand losing and having to pay a huge sum.

Gawker published truth and facts often about things people wanted not known. Classic First Amendment protection and yet lost. Thiel put his money towards fancy lawyers, set it all up, studied the weakness in the laws, collected information and set and sprung the trap on Gawker. In the rich vs the lesser, Mr. Thiel won. In my opinion the ruling against Gawker was a bad ruling, no matter how Gawker got the video of Hulk Hogan, who was a public figure. And if there was a settlement it should of not been outrageous.

...whose their insurance carrier, what is stipulated on the insurance contract, what are the monetary limits and how they are applied.

If I were to take a guess, they probably self insure to a certain point before the surplus line kicks in. And I would wager that the insurance company stipulates that defense costs are included in the policy limit.
