What guided Trump's thinking on how the USG reacted to the Covid crisis?

I think the implications to his RE business holdings decided how he would deal with it. Business as usual. Loses in urban area's, no big deal.

Boy, did he fuck himself.

I think he wasn't thinking that far ahead. He was just doing his normal "deny that there's a problem RockRaven Jan 2021 #1

because even admitting that there is a problem makes me look bad in tomorrow's news" thing.

And then you add onto that his refusal to ever admit he was wrong... and the path was set long before he figured out what it meant to his businesses.

Trump ran his own PR - that history is weird. Applying the Trump biz model to USA policy was probably not in our best, long term interests.

United States Guard? Unsupported Seminal Graphics? I have no idea.

RE I guess means real estate, but I had to think for a moment about that one before I managed to figure it out.

This is why I hate abbreviations. I wish people would just spell it out so that nobody has to scratch his/her head trying to guess what it means. Which I have to do too often.

The blueprint he followed,...

Reagan got away with totally ignoring HIV/AIDS and let people die in astronomical numbers without taking any action.

Why couldn't trDump do the same thing ?

Besides,... trDump did not create or cause this pandemic problem. It was all China's fault. So why should trDump assume any of the blame.

Finally,... Blacks,.. Latino,... and the elderly were taking the brunt of pandemic illness and deaths. These three groups are all on welfare or Social Security government checks,... so if they kick the bucket it is good for government spending and tax payers, because if they croak fewer government checks are written to support these takers.. Which is a plus for the overall trDump economic numbers.
