Lawyer for 'QAnon Shaman' says he feels 'duped' by Trump after not getting a pardon

Brad Reed

January 22, 2021

Former President Donald Trump left office by issuing a slew of pardons -- but none of them were for the supporters who rioted on his behalf at the United States Capitol building on January 6th.

Now an attorney for 33-year-old Capitol rioter Jacob Chansley, better known as the "QAnon Shaman," says that his client feels like the president misled him into believing that he would get a pardon for his actions.

In an interview with local news station KSDK, attorney Al Watkins said that Chansley regrets his actions and feels "duped" by the president's claims that the 2020 election was stolen.

"He regrets very very much having not just been duped by the President, but by being in a position where he allowed that duping to put him in a position to make decisions he should not have made," he said.

Include your high school for claiming you earned a diploma and whatever other educational institution that certfied your completion. They definitely didn't hold up their end of the bargain. I can't imagine that at least one of your former teachers didn't notice that something wasn't quite right.

was because Trump didn't like his costume. Now if only he had worn a smart paramilitary costume, or a nice suit & tie, or a tennis outfit, then he would have had a better chance. Trump is all about appearances. Not substance.

Had a complete meltdown this morning. They had managed to convince themselves, apparently that the mass arrests were occur yesterday, after all the troops were cleared out. They finally popped a spring and are having a break live on Facebook. I unfriended this relative 3 years ago, but another is relaying the collapse.

Some of them are realizing they were duped. But the fact they WANTED to believe is the crux of the problem.

You could tell the looters were promised pardons, otherwise they'd be incompetent cowards.

That's the proof to convict on impeachment and also other convictions.

Sad, and confounding, how cheap, lying grifters like Trump can deceive gullible people so easily.

One glance at Trump, and I wouldn't let him get within a half mile of me, and would call 911 if I saw him near my home or car. Trump has an aura of corruption and lack of conscience that spreads out a half mile in every direction.

with a truly noble cause. THEY were true patriots, true believers in the constitution and our republic, the ones with the courage to fight the dreadful powers who had taken over, to save America, and above all our children, from unspeakable evil.

In contrast, most of those in Trump's authoritarian base were drawn with appalling consistency to bad leaders by their bad actions to support what should never be supported. No 1776 for them -- they're done with always losing with democracy and chose for a viciously cruel, racist, misogynistic, fascistic dictator who'd smash all opposition for good.

Not these people. Though the end would be the same, they really don't know it.

Btw, we know Russia has been involved with QAnon subversion since either its inception or close to, and of course in the takeover of the Republican Party through corruption and the rise of trumpism.

“The supreme art of war is to subdue the enemy without fighting.” “When strong, avoid them. If of high morale, depress them. Seem humble to fill them with conceit. If at ease, exhaust them. If united, separate them. Attack their weaknesses. Emerge to their surprise.” – Sun Tzu.

Illegal acts because he believed all his crimes would be pardoned.

He's a fool, an Idiot, and deserves to have the maximum sentence heaped on his stupid head. It probably won't teach him a damn thing. Likely he's been ricocheting from one crazy conspiracy theory to the next his whole life and always blaming someone else when it blows up in his face.
