I know Joe has a tough road ahead of him, but it's been goddamn nice to wake up the past few mornings without a pit in my stomach. I haven't even checked DU first thing in the morning for the past two days. No offense, y'all are great. I checked DU as soon as I rolled out of bed for the past few days as a way to see what hell drumpf brought us overnight with his 3am toilet tweets.

For the past two days, I haven't opened DU until after breakfast. I know the GOP will be hell bent on obstructing and I believe we need to work extremely hard, starting now, for 2022. But, it's nice that the giant pit in my stomach is gone.

There were days I was afraid to check DU because the Orange Shitgibbon had been on a tear. So nice knowing the adults are in charge again. I didn’t realize how much energy I was expending just trying to keep a decent attitude and not give into despair before the election. Now I’ve been waking up excited for the new day and knocking out projects at the house.

5. I've still opened DU first thing in the A.M.....but now it's to find out good news, and start

the day feeling human, instead of like I'm on some foreign planet.

And I totally agree about starting on 2022 NOW!! We have got to get a better hold on the house and senate in DC. This one person majority is just not strong enough.

Plus, we need to start getting rid of state-wide republicans in red and purple states. North Carolina has a senate race coming up in 2022, also, and I sure as hell don't want it to go to another republican.

7. Like you, I know there's a long road ahead of us until things get back to "normal", but I am so

relieved to know that President Biden (damn, that feels good to say) has a plan and has good people around him to help implement it. I check the news now to see what new policy has been proposed and what positive effects it will have on our lives. I feel more hopeful about our future right now than I have in the last 4 years.
