That Rs think they should still be in charge is unfathomable, and I can't fathom it.

If they can't agree to new Senate rules, they have to use the old ones. Which means Mitch stays as Majority Leader. Please tell me I'm wrong.

Senator Whitehouse said last night on All In with Chris Hayes, we need the new agreement to set the new committee assignments. So, with out the new agreement:

- Schumer is the Majority Leader
- Democrats have Committee Chairs, but
- Republicans still have the MAJORITY of seats in the committees

Mitch seems to know all the tricks and how to exploit them. Schumer needs to do that, too. Shrewdness and calculated strategies. And the element of surprise. I think the CONS are presuming they know how Schumer is going to react - by being “nice” and “conciliatory” and “accommodating” to the bad guys. FUCKING ENOUGH of that!!!!!!!

It amazes me how they think they can issue orders when they're in the minority.

This also suggests to me that we're not above using the nuclear option. Yay to that, too!
