WaPo Breaking: House to send impeachment article against former president

Schumer said Friday that Pelosi will deliver the article of impeachment against Trump on Monday, clearing the way for his second impeachment trial.

"It will be a full trial, it will be a fair trial," Schumer said during remarks on the Senate floor.

The House impeached Trump on a single article of "incitement of insurrection" for his role in the Jan. 6 takeover of the Capitol by a pro-Trump violent mob.

2. Some updates

Schumer pushed back on arguments by some Republicans that a trial of a president who has already office would be unconstitutional. Democrats are seeking to convict Trump and bar him from holding federal office again.

“It makes no sense whatsoever that a president or any official could commit a heinous crime against our country, and then be permitted to resign, so as to avoid accountability and a vote to disbar them from future offers makes no sense," Schumer said.

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.), who had argued for delaying a trial until next month, reiterated his objections to moving quickly.

“We need a full and fair process where the former president can mount a defense and the Senate can properly consider the factual, legal and constitutional questions at stake,” he said.

Fuck Turtle. WE run this ship.

That party was fully prepared to re-impeach Bill Clinton over his Marc Rich pardon.

Trump has done plenty of questionable pardons (read: Joe Arpaio), but we never threatened to impeach him over those. Trump tried to destroy democracy and kill his own vice-president, and the GOP seems to be fine with that.

To mangle Shakespeare, “how do I hate Republicans? Let me count the ways.”

and proudly embraced his hypocrisy 20+ years later, even when shown footage his previous bullshit.

I can't thank Georgians enough for shoving Graham out of the Judiciary Chair position.

After Schumer's Freudian slip, my brain wouldn't let me be that night, with rando images of Melania smirking while promoting a new line of tRumpViagra products; yes, your hubby can't get it up, Incite That Erection! (Call Of Duty anyone?) - seriously, this is a meme just waiting to happen. Stroking Sedition Hand Cream sold separately.

You want witnesses to the crime. Call me, and the other millions of people that watched TV. If TV viewing is what the TV "celebrity" wants, well here it is. We were exposed to the invitation, and the welcoming of responding to, and attending the big Jan. 6 event. Once we arrived for the event, many white men spoke, motivated, and gave us permission to walk to the Capitol and carry out the wishes of the person who invited us.

Famous equivalents: Hitler, Mussolini, Sadam Hussein, the Spanish guy...

Case: authoritarian white male declares sovereign power over all others, regardless of race, creed, color or religion and thinks he can fuck us! Sorry, we fought, and will fight again, against Mussolini.
Regards,
"Antifa bird watching group of the world."

They hung two of the perps. And today's perps wanted to hang VP Mike Pence. Today's insurrectionists are all upside down. Authorities need to keep investigating ... we're not having enough arrests right now. Don't give them time to whine like Trump - just roll them up! The USA must defend itself or we're not much of a country where laws are ignored.
