I remember the combative, arrogant, Trump-defending Cohen. But the fact of the matter is that he had a hand in everything the Manhattan DA's office is investigating right now. This is the Frank Pentangeli testimony against the Corleone family in 2021. The fact that he's being brought in at a point where the DA's office has steadily and aggressively been building a case against Trump, to me, means that he's going to be there to dot the "I's" and cross the "T's." This is going to be fascinating.
The New York Daily News reports that former Trump lawyer Michael Cohen was interviewed by Manhattan DA Cy Vance's team last week about the president's dealings with Deutsche Bank, which has for decades been the only major investment bank willing to lend him money.
The DA's office also "plans to interview Michael Cohen again as part of his investigation into allegations that former President Donald Trump has committed a range of financial fraud."

(57,073 posts)Cohen is so pathetic imo. Another injured little boy sucked in by bully. He yas said how betrayed he feels.
Maybe hell hath no fury like a spurned little boy?
I do commend him for helping to put the orange voldetmort away though.

(9,979 posts)that the talk he described having with his dad changed his outlook. Apparently he learned some things he did not know and it caught him up short. I believe in redemption and I hope he finds that. I also believe there are people who are looking for him with malice in mind and want him and his family to remain safe.

(10,829 posts)Amazing what a bit of jail time can do. Whatever his reasoning, he has the goods on Trump, knows where the bodies are buried. And from everything I've heard him say? He's pissed for taking the fall for Trump and his family which has endangered his life and the welfare of his own family.
So, whatever singing Cohen does will be pure music!

Trumpanzees think he's cool because he beat the system and made money doing it. As this case goes forward they will be disappointed to learn how that worked and how much tax money he stole or did not pay.
They are rather unlikely to feel so warm about him when they hear the details of his trafficking women and trading bed partners (possibly underage) with Epstein.

But....
He's not only remorseful and OWNED UP even though not at first, he eventually did take responsibility, and he does not excuse anything he's done other than that he was enamored with glam and caught up in mob culture that Trump seemed to ride high on.
And he's willingly sharing everything he has to nail that piece of shite that did this to our country.

(7,814 posts)misogynist, cheater, liar, probably inflated value of his assets, etc. I've always wondered why such a close advisor didn't know more about his Russia connections, hacking, foreign entanglements, etc. And he doesn't talk much about other corrupt actors in Trump's orbit.
I'm not sure he tells all, at least publicly.

Even though his treason and sedition may never lead to conviction, he'll still be paying for the rest of his miserable life.
