Guys, an actual filing in federal court is asking for the court to establish the Stewardship of Gondor in the absence of Aragorn. No, I'm not joking. https://courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.txwd.1120287/gov.uscourts.txwd.1120287.6.0.pdf h.t @questauthority

(3,131 posts)The vanderbilts are involved. Some names always come back.
They are suing in Texas district court complaining about Alabama. Even if they won on that, it wouldnt change the results. Even if the certification and inauguration werent complete.
They say the court is the only remaining branch of government so their solution is the make the court take over the other two branches? But then there are 3 branches still and they are arguing to create the thing they complain about.
They got one thing right, the analogies to Gondor and the stewardship of the king. That was a fantasy and so is this suit. The only difference is the lotr was good fantasy.

(101,320 posts)Two Donald Trump supporters from Virginia who were arrested on weapons charges near the Pennsylvania Convention Center as votes from Novembers election were being tabulated are facing additional election-related charges after a preliminary hearing Thursday.
Philadelphia Municipal Court Judge Charles Hayden dropped the gun charges against Joshua Macias, 42, a cofounder of Vets for Trump, because he had a gun permit in Virginia. Prosecutors said they disagreed and intended to refile those charges.
...
Prosecutors allege that on November 5, Macias and LaMotta drove up from Virginia, in a Hummer displaying the insignia of the QAnon conspiracy movement, with handguns, an AR-15-style rifle, 160 rounds of ammunition, and a samurai sword, to interfere in the vote counting process in Philadelphia.
A video played in court Thursday shows Macias referring to ballot stuffers in back rooms shortly before his arrest near the Convention Center.
District Attorney Larry Krasner said in a statement Thursday that a lock-picking kit was also found in the Hummer and that Macias and Antonio were in Philadelphia for purposes far more nefarious than sightseeing.

(90,769 posts)I know Trumpers can't tell fact from fiction and they all live in a fantasyland but do they have to abuse some of my favorite books this way?
They discover "Dune" and I'm going to scream.
Yes, yes. I know there are more serious matters within all their crazy to be upset about, but...damn.

The other lawyer is the idiot Kellye SoRelle, a failed Republican candidate responsible for a stupid video that claimed to show election fraud but actually showed a TV crew and their equipment: https://www.wxyz.com/news/how-a-wxyz-wagon-sparked-false-election-fraud-claims-in-detroit
Their requests to the courts: that they shouldn't need to contact all the defendants about this suit (all of Congress, Mark Zuckerberg (though neither he nor Facebook are actually mentioned in their "case", which claims that failure to check photo ID of 1st times voters in Virginia and Alabama render the entire national election illegal), and Brad Raffensperger, since that would take too long), that the court should immediately declare Congress, the President and VP illegal and appoint Gondor-type "Stewards" to run the country (since that would not cause anyone's rights to vote to be affected in any way, or affect public policy)
