1. Wouldn't be all that surprised if the Bushes went with Joe.

And it's pretty unimaginable to me that H.W. Bush would have voted Trump, were he still alive.

What surprised and horrified me was when James Baker's new biographers stated in several recent interviews that James Baker voted for Trump in 2020, stating Baker couldn't bring himself to vote for a Democrat even in those circumstances. Baker is often held up as a "respectable" Republican in the old style.

I am not a fan of W but at least this time he did the right thing.

Sea change moment for the Biden campaign. His advice for Joe was taken and Joe won. So many people helped but Clyburn, in my opinion, was the catalyst.

I think the all voted for “JEB!”

... they (or the vast majority) voted for Joe. I think they voted for Hillary, too... also, most of the surviving Reagan family. I think a majority probably voted for Obama, too.

I'm not at all surprised. Dumbya called it "some weird shit." That was telling about what he thinks of Trump even then.

but this time seems probable that W and Laura and of course the daughters voted Biden/Harris especially since the young Barbara was an open Hillary supporter and then she and Jenna co-authored an editorial condemning Trump's Muslim ban.

In the 2016 campaign and occasionally in the Oval Office.

W, to Trump, represented the ‘establishment’ Republicans that Trump ran against.

not necessarily for Joe.

Trump insulted him, his brother (Jeb), his father.

That’s enough to explain his vote.

Regardless of the insults to Jeb, Bush would have definitely voted against Trump's re-election in 2020. There is a good chance he would have voted against Trump in 2016 due to Trump's crazy foreign policy ideas.
