I've read that Biden has signed several EOs, one of which would entail $1,400 checks to individuals for Covid relief
I didn't think that was possible. It's part of his $1.9 Trillion relief package. But doesn't Congress have to vote on it?

Only McConnell blocked it.

At least his eviction order should stop all foreclosures for a while. I am under a private lender but the order still should affect me.

What's the difference? Why can't this be authorized from defense money? Isn't massive evictions a national security issue as much as border crossings?
