During a press briefing with Jen Psaki, somebody actually asked her if President Biden was going to reconsider Trump's hideous new proposed paint job for Air Force 1.

I agree it's a travesty, but the President, this country, and the idiotic press have far more to worry about than AF1's color scheme or what kind of watch President Biden is wearing.

Unity is nonsense, and so is the press. Joe and the Congress need to do what they need to do and make sure that they always (truthfully) spin it as to how this is in the best interest of the people and that the Rs are acting selfishly/in the worst interest of the people. Nothing less, please.

They have no clue whatsoever.

And BTW, Times and Shinola are not equivalent “everyday” watches. A Shinola costs between $600 and $750. A Shinola is, indeed American, however. But if JRB wants to wear his hard-earned Rolex, leave him alone. He doesn’t have a gold toilet, after all.

Platinum Rolex are super super spendy. 6 figure spendy.

But they are very stylish. No gaudy like a stupid gold toilet.

And it's something your kids can inherit.

The blue face and silver colored bracelet is the tell.

They are more expensive than Gold, but much less flashy.

I held one in my hand once. but its far far outside my price range.

Biden has nice style!!

It’s available in stainless steel, 14 karat and a combination of 14k and steel. It is available with the ice blue dial. It appears to have an Oyster bracelet. Typically, the gold models will have the Jubilee bracelet.

The only two men’s Rolexes available in platinum are the Day-Date (President), and the Daytona. There’s no day showing at the 11-1 arc, so it’s not a Day-Date, and it’s not a cosmograph so it’s not a Daytona.

Current retail for a steel Datejust is 7-8 thousand. That’s about the current retail for an Explorer II. When I bought mine, 41 years ago, I paid $450.00.

Even if it’s brand new, he’s more than entitled. I’m just surprised he had a Rolex. He usually wears Omega.

I wore a gold daydate for awhile. But it was just too flashy.

Id love to have a platinum one but they are nearly double the price of the gold, (which is already ridiculously priced)

I agree. He's entitled and earned it.

No more flashy than platinum, for a lot less.

Now they could make a Daytona out of tinfoil, and A) you couldn’t find one, and B) I couldn’t afford it.

the Oystersteel entry level men's models (no gems, obviously)

Rolex Oyster Perpetual
Rolex Oyster Air King
Rolex Explorer
Rolex Milgauss
Rolex Datejust
Explorer II

and
Rolex Submariner (without date, 41mm (40mm pre 2020), bezel with black Cerachrom insert and solid-link Oyster bracelet) probably the best value for a man's rolex, IMHO, although I do like the Milgauss and the Oyster Perpetual 41 Oystersteel - M124300-0006 (Blue Turquoise dial) is banging too, for a summer dressy watch (I would wear it, I can carry off a 41mm, but it would not be a formal watch for me, I would funk it up with jeans or a short skirt and a great top, plus ice white trainers, lol)

you can get all of those 7 models for under 9000 usd

the Oyster Perpetual steel can go as low as 5000 usd or so, new (in a small diameter sizes)

I have a Lady's Datejust 31mm Oystersteel Dark Rhodium Floral Arabic Dial, it s the only Rolex I have (there are far better values out there IMHO), I got it from my uncle (he and my father are watch freaks, worse than I am with bags and shoes, lolol) when I graduated with one of my uni degrees

exactly like this one
