This admin has been in office two and a half days and they are not moving fast enough for you? This isn't a video game where you can take all the bad guys down in minutes. This is real life and how the government works.

Correct me if I am misreading your post.

But I have “a little hope”

I’m just glad that they are doing it now because Justice needs to be served soon. Before they sweep it under the rug.

And don't trust McConnell any further than I can spit. It just feels wrong, but I hope I am wrong.

a lot of people's minds - esp Dems, some Independents, and even some people who don't vote.

And Dems will remind the country!

Senate leaders are poised to announce an agreement this evening on the timeline for President Donald Trump’s impeachment trial.
Here's what we know: The earliest the trial could start as early as Feb. 9, which is essentially the timeline initially suggested by Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell. McConnell wanted Trump to have two weeks to prepare his case, and it appears he got that as Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) has signed off on this schedule.

On Monday, Speaker Nancy Pelosi will send the articles to the Senate. On Tuesday, the Senate will swear in the senators, and issue a summons to Trump.

Trump’s response to the impeachment article and the House’s pre-trial brief will be due Feb. 2. On Feb. 8, Trump must submit his pre-trial brief.

The trial is set to begin the week of Feb. 8. The Senate will then "pause" between Feb. 2 and Feb. 9, during which the Senate is likely to confirm some of Joe Biden’s Cabinet nominees.

McConnell had floated a plan on Thursday where the trial would begin Feb. 11. This was too slow for Schumer, who wants to get moving quickly so he can get back to regular business. After some back and forth, Schumer has now agreed to give Trump’s defense team time to get ready, while also providing the Senate time to work on confirming Joe Biden’s Cabinet nominees.

Friday at the White House, Biden himself endorsed a delay in starting the trial.

“I haven’t heard the details of it, but I do think that having some time to get our administration up and running,” Biden said. “I want to thank the Senate for passing out our secretary of defense, it looks like our secretary of Treasury, looks like our secretary of State’s in place, so the more time we have to get up and running to meet these crises, the better.”
