Rand Paul says he is going to boycott the "sham impeachment" trial

I think he should do exactly that, and get some of his repug senator buddies to join him. As long as we have a quorum, we can proceed (and convict). And this will be perfect cover for the cowards who want to but are to afraid to convict - just stay home and "boycott". Do it Rand.

to the alternative reality so many republicans inhabited during the failed Trump administration. Paul is a waste of the elements he's composed of. It amazes me that some people believe him a role model.

Once in a great while, Rand Paul does the proper thing. As I type this, I'm confident that he's returned to his usual obnoxious, poorly-dressed and barely groomed, proto-fascist self.
