(15,659 posts)Perhaps a formal investigation, or actual journalism, will uncover evidence that will lead to indictments, but right now, there is more actual criminal evidence from the January 6 rally than there is from the January 5 war council.

(49,041 posts)Tuberville while the Capitol was under siege (and got Mike Lee by mistake), suggests more was going on there than Tuberville wants to be associated with.

(51,284 posts)Lee picked up the phone and Trump identified himself, and it became clear he was looking for Tuberville and had been given the wrong number. Lee, keeping the President on hold, went to find his colleague and handed Tuberville his phone, telling him the President was on the line and had been trying to reach him.
Tuberville spoke with Trump for less than 10 minutes, with the President trying to convince him to make additional objections to the Electoral College vote in a futile effort to block Congress' certification of President-elect Joe Biden's win, according to a source familiar with the call. The call was cut off because senators were asked to move to a secure location.

(9,998 posts)Every time he posts a long thread about something Drumpf did, or how he's in big trouble, since it's an Earth shattering story.
I don't even bother reading them anymore, because they're ALWAYS fruitless.
I doubt anybody is going to jail. And I'm sure that next week, Seth will have another story hyping up the possibility, that THIS TIME, there will be repercussions. There won't.

(4 posts)The reporting is solid. The implications are immense.
So sorry you get tired reading long things and so hope to encourage everyone else to give up, but witf??!?
And: elsewhere, I complain about too many inferences in Seth Abramson's work. But the complaint I made there tonight is wrong: he only tweeted that new info is "suggesting" at least two more senators. He didn't run with it, as I suggested he had.

(9,998 posts)There is NO "Bridge Too Far" for these pieces of excrement.
I don't have an objection to each incident being brought into public view. I just am at the point where I know that it is not going to matter. Few minds will be changed. Perhaps a couple will, which serves as a reason to have these stories put out there. I just don't bother getting my hopes up anymore. Seth seems to have speculation each week on something that will bring this Cult and it's Leader down. They Never Do.

Surprised Prince isn't in that meeting. Phone records of all of them need to be checked to see who they talked to after the meeting.
I don't know where all these Seth haters (at least one new to DU today!) are from.
I had no idea there were people in a Democratic space who do not welcome his information.

(51,284 posts)The Trump administration installed loyalists on a Pentagon advisory panel Friday, naming former campaign officials Corey Lewandowski and David Bossie among the new appointees to the Defense Business Board.
Acting defense secretary Christopher C. Miller, appointed to his job last month after the firing of Mark T. Esper, said in a statement that he was proud to welcome each of the new members and looked forward to their contributions to help guide the Defense Departments business efforts in coming years.
These individuals have a proven record of achievement within their respective fields and have demonstrated leadership that will serve our Department, and our nation well, Miller said in a statement.
The appointments were announced along with the dismissal of other members, injecting partisanship into a board that is rarely discussed outside the Defense Department and defense industry. Lewandowski and Bossie worked together on the Trump presidential campaign in 2016 and later co-authored a memoir titled Let Trump Be Trump.
Michael Bayer, who was ousted as chairman of the board, said in a phone interview that he was informed of the administrations decision to dismiss him with a form letter that was emailed to him on Friday morning. He said he does not know the politics of most of the boards members and that they have typically operated in a nonpartisan manner.
