Was that before or after they set fire to the covid testing center and the anti-maskers were joined by anti-immigrant groups?

I am surprised that the Netherlands has so many of this type. It seems so out of character for them. I know that they are not a monolith as far as socially liberal political beliefs are concerned, but I did not think they would have the type of crazy that we see over here.

It has an active fat rightwing element similar to Germany. In fact, the rightish leader was elected because he was for clamping down on immigrants.

I fear that Europe is taking a hard right turn, as we are, and it will not turn out well. I really think that the entire world is going in the wrong direction. We are becoming more intolerant instead of less so. I just hope this doesn't lead to another world war or a simultaneous conflagration of civil wars.

The thing about rightish governments is that, at their core, they are malignant. The human spirit leans toward charity and inclusion, that is why rightish people and governments have always had a expiration date, and why they envy and despise us so much, we are in the right side of the arc of history, what we see as possible is where history, for eons has ended up.

I want so much to believe that goodness and righteousness will prevail. It does always seem to end up that way, but sometimes there is a lot of turmoil and destruction in between the peaceful eras.

Have a good night! I am off to watch another Miss Marple episode and retreat into my little fantasy world!
