How do you find it? Go to the Rebel flag and take a right.

It’s country country. If it weren’t for carpet (Dalton) and being near Chattanooga there wouldn’t be much there other than train tracks. It’s a red as you get.

However, it must have around 700,000 people, which is the average size of a district.

I looked up some previous elections, and in some of those years there wasn't a Democratic candidate at all. When a Democrat did run, the result was not unlike this year - the Republican candidate won, usually, in a 75 - 25 landslide. So, Greene's margin of victory wasn't out of the ordinary for the district. There seems to be a base of Democratic voters who will always make up 25% of the electorate, no matter what. This year, they voted for a candidate who wasn't even running, although his name was still on the ballot.

I wonder how many Democratic or Independent voters there are in the district who don't vote, because their candidate has no chance to win. This looks like another district that Democrats have abandoned. Even if a Dem can't win here, they might be able to win a local, down-ballot race, and that's how you build a party.

The Republicans had a LOT of people who ran in the primary last year to succeed Tom Graves. There were 9 in the primary, and Greene received 40% of the vote. She was the only woman who ran. Georgia has runoffs if no one gets 50% of the vote. In other words, most of the people who voted in that primary voted against her. She got about 44,000 votes in the first primary. It's interesting that she actually got fewer votes in the runoff than she did in the primary. Turnout dropped by about 30,000. This is what happens when people don't vote in primaries - the crazy kooks who make the most noise win!

A few elections ago they had a Doctor who it turns out runs a nudist colony and got a DUI during the campaign. He was released from jail on Election Day.

In 2020 the IT guy they recruited was doing well until he got served divorce papers and had to move home with his parents in Indiana.

This is a long article but it tells a lot about MTG and this district. Oh BTW - she was really sleeping around when she owned the gym.

Don't censure her, don't try to kick her out. Embrace the suck. Every Dem campaign ad should feature her spouting crazy and the videos of cops being pummeled at the Capitol.

The Repubs did great down ballot in 2020 by hammering every Dem with defund the police. Use that same tactic in 2022 with this nut and the Capitol videos. Link every Repub candidate to her and the riots.

This is the first example that I have seen of stake political partisanship that’s visible other than wearing a MAGA hat or a bumper sticker.
Greene is as divisive as Hitler. It will show your political beliefs and your intelligence to the world.
I’ve taken severe COVID cases to the hospital. Her constituents will be getting much sicker and more often than the ones that wear masks and disagree with here.

Trump's mouth and actions have gotten us the Presidency and Senate and while we obviously need to take a serious look at why we lost seats in the House, at least we still control it and have 2 years to figure out what happened and take corrective action.

Biden is making plenty of excellent policy moves, issuing executive order after order...cancelling out the repressive, RW ones Trump put in place and has actually been proposing truly progressive legislation, totally unlike what I had feared and in spite of the warnings about how 3rd way or super moderate he'd be in office.

We're going to get a lot of needed legislation passed even with our puny 1 seat advantage and the filibuster won't be an issue even with budget reconciliation because the GOP knows we'll nuke it if they obstruct and we will too, in spite of what Man chin and the lady from Arizona are saying now. Eventually we'll have to though but hopefully we'll do so over something that their constituents and the majority of the public really feels strongly needs to happen, thereby showing the Repugs up for what they truly are. Poll after poll show a majority of Americans being in favor of the issues addressed in the legislation we've proposed.

If we can get that legislation passed and policy enacted which demonstrably benefits the average citizen, and then make damn sure they know it was the Democrats that made it happen (unlike the modesty of the Obama years), I think we'll expand both the House and even the Senate, as unfavorable as the gerrymandering from 2010 made things for Democrats in some districts.

But in order for that to happen we need much better messaging and considering the number of PR folks and media talent that are Democrats, IDK why we haven't controlled the narrative a whole lot better than we have ... but we certainly need to. Desperately.

The future of our grandchildren and even Democracy and representative government itself depend on it.

She is from CD-6..A place called Alpharetta or something like that...

She probably doesn't even own a home in the district she represents.

They own a fancy mansion in Alpharetta.

I think that is why she is so extreme...
She doesn't live with the people she represents
