(21,646 posts)This is completely wrong, said German Jaquez, who drove from his home in La Verne and had been waiting for an hour for his vaccination when the stadiums gates were closed.
He said some of the protesters were telling people in line that the coronavirus is not real and that the vaccination is dangerous.
The vaccination site reopened later in the afternoon. The site is usually open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

(24,470 posts)Disclaimer he updated saying no one was arrested.
UPDATE: Supposedly several protesters were arrested, and they were forced to disperse. As they did they menaced and shouted at people in cars waiting. We got in 45 minutes late, and mom got her first dose.
But Im pretty pissed off. The audacity to not just refuse the vaccine, but to actually try to prevent others from getting it- that is a special kind of evil. Lots of Trump hats and shirts amongst them, too, unsurprisingly. People like this are a cancer to our civilization. Literally.
But the good news is, mom got her first shot.

(58,785 posts)I have a bad opinion of the ethical practices of the LAPD and LACSD -- for cause, but I think your notion that all decisions are driven by white racism is a lot more than just a little simplistic and unrealistic.
And btw, the LAPD is majority minority, certainly the ones on the street.

(58,785 posts)have been going on for 3 days in Marseilles, France; apparently fans of a number of nationalities unhappy over something, and/or just caught up in the insanity of the times. Injuries. Soccer rioting in Paris also, but apparently celebration over a win. Or whatever. I didn't get into it.
Just for perspective.
