I think the Democrats may finally have found their message!!!!

It's been creeping up on me over the last couple of weeks that EVERY member of the Biden administration, no matter what the context, talks about JOBS within the first few sentences. They've really got it together. It's good on so many fronts. But one front is that it's a great way to fight the "socialism" onslaught.

They may really have got it together this time.

This matters every time. It could always be "it's the economy stupid". Not sure how or why we ever get off this message.

mess he inherited and never took credit for his accomplishments.

IMO the Democratic party would have fared better had he (or those around him) bragged on his accomplishments more.

I’ve seen the same thing recently - how everyone speaks with the same common “voice” (in this case “jobs”) and how well versed they each seem to be talking about the merits of the various administration plans and goals. I also noticed how well prepared they seem to be to counter the previous administration’s insane talking points. Maybe the Biden Administration will have an easier time getting their message out since they don’t have to remember any lies!

Jobs are a good thing. Truth is a good thing. Thanks for posting!!!

The rebound, well executed, should be epic. Inflation is the biggest threat, but that's only after payrolls and spending recovers, and the Fed is charged with, and has said, it will mop it up, if you believe them.

doing)

The simple fact is the jobs lost to the pandemic are not coming back until it's over, and even then that will take time.

There are at least 18 million people unemployed because of the pandemic (and more who were without work before it struck). It took Bill Clinton 8 years to add that many jobs in a booming economy (the most, by number, added during any administration).

The focus should be kept on reversing the soaring infection and death rates, and getting aid to people struggling to survive. People in the administration need to be talking every day about how is NOT the time for budget austerity. We can either have a "soft landing" recession, or a long-term severe economic withdrawal depending on our spending priorities now.

Given how far away the GOP aid package offer is from what Biden wants, it will be interesting to see if their intransigence will push the Democrats to change the Senate rules and save the country without their sorry asses. I personally think this is inevitable, so we might as well roll on it.
