Editing to add an excerpt from the article:
The Biden version is not exactly just a man and his microphone. White House press aides said that some installments could follow a traditional president-talks-to-the-people format, but they were also planning to pair Mr. Biden with everyday Americans and other guests, recreating the informal style of popular podcasts.
The first installment is scheduled for Saturday, and it features Mr. Biden speaking with Michele Voelkert, a California woman who was laid off from her job at a San Francisco-based clothing company in the early months of the pandemic.
In a remote conversation, the president and Ms. Voelkert, 47, discuss her trouble securing unemployment benefits she ultimately turned to a local state assemblywoman for help and finding new employment. They also talk about her daughters virtual schooling.
The four-minute video segment is set to be published Saturday on the White Houses YouTube page and other social media platforms. (Officials said Ms. Voelkerts husband, Joshua, was a videographer, allowing for high-quality footage on her end.)

(49,044 posts)a revival of the "weekly radio address," since the radio ratings had slipped both toward the end of the Obama admin and at the start of the Trump admin, before Trump dropped it.

(67,782 posts)....radio and some television (not much).
Obama was the first to do it online - first to Youtube and then to the White House website, and it eventually wound up only online.

(47,625 posts)a very visible, hands-on president. He's looking more and more like FDR all the time. I've long been a big supporter of Joe Biden, but he is exceeding all my expectations on a daily basis. I am truly proud to be an American again.
